hSenid Business Solutions PLC, a leading Human Resources Solutions provider in Sri Lanka, recently signed a partnership with the University of Vavuniya, a prestigious state higher education institution. The signing of such agreements has been a continuous effort by hSenid, in partnership with state universities such as Jayewardenepura, Colombo, Kelaniya, Moratuwa and Peradeniya, making this partnership the 6th, in its initiative towards building globally competitive local talent.


These partnerships further supplement the scope of the Human Resource programs provided by the university, adding strategic value to the study by capturing the essence of HRIS, encapsulating the complete automation of HR with Analytics and Artificial Intelligence-driven HR Tech advancements. A partnership aimed at grooming future minds in the pursuit of building a strong business landscape in Sri Lanka that moves ahead globally with technology.

The University of Vavuniya, currently offers degree programs under the Faculty of Business Studies, Faculty of Applied Science and the Faculty of Technological Studies. All three faculties offer twelve-degree programs of three and four-year duration at present. The University of Vavuniya expects to increase the student intake through introducing new study programs along with the establishment of the proposed faculties, namely, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Studies, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Environmental Science, Faculty of Health Care Sciences, Faculty of Livestock and Faculty of Graduate Studies.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was successfully signed between the Department of HRM, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Vavuniya and hSenid Business Solutions PLC on 28 February.

University of Vavuniya Vice-Chancellor Dr. T. Mangaleswaran said: “The Memorandum of Understanding between hSenid Business Solutions PLC and University of Vavuniya will enable both institutions to bring upon constructive outcomes. The timing of collaboration is also prominent, as the Vavuniya Campus of University of Jaffna was officially established as University of Vavuniya in 1 August 2021, and this is the first MOU signed as a university. This MOU will expose and broaden the knowledge horizons of students in the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Vavuniya.

Through this MOU, partners from each institution aspire to improve undergraduate education in order to develop globally competitive graduates. The event was a success, and it was emphasised that this is only the beginning and that many more steps will be taken in the near future.
